SARGITTARIUS develops a formal contracting strategy after consultation with the client. Our construction team reviews the design, taking into consideration schedule, cost, local labour climate, and special client requirements. Decisions made at this stage has the greatest potential for realising quality on-time project delivery.

SARGITTARIUS Project Managers are responsible for verifying that the required project permits are obtained. We establish a working relationship with the permitting authorities immediately upon project conception, and maintain contact throughout the implementation process till project completion.

SARGITTARIUS cost control engineers establish a budget actively, modifies the budget as required and monitors cash flow and cost trends to identify potential problem areas. Our Central Group Estimating Department assists the Cost Control Engineer on a priority basis when needed to facilitate review of scope of work changes.

SARGITTARIUS has developed a cost trending and change order procedure that documents, monitors and controls the cost of scope of work changes. This procedure allows the project manager to confirm that changes are necessary and appropriate in maintaining project objectives. It also allows him/her to evaluate changes in terms of the total scope of work and to identify the impact on both cost and schedule.

Periodically, SARGITTARIUS prepares a cost report to identify project cost status. This report tabulates the budget, approved changes, commitment to date and estimated costs to complete project.
